Crochet for Pets

“Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.” – James Herriot

And I couldn’t agree more! They are truly a class act! They are creatures of habit and hat it when their routine is upset! They come to me when I call them (if they are in the mood that is :p), and head butt me , hold my head and clean my face like I am their kitten , and purr like an engine with so much contentedness that they sometime give me a sigh, trying to say “what will you ever do without me “!

I have two cats at home and they definitely call the shots! From what time I have to be up to when I must play, when I must have my elevenses, my tea , my nap time and my bed time! They are happy when I watch TV because then they can sleep next to me without having to worry if I will get into trouble 🙂

They are my everything and have filled my heart with so much love and gratitude that I wanted to make them a pet collar to show how much they mean to me!

Sandra Stitches call for Crochet for Pets crochet along proved to be a good time to make my babies a pet collar!

If you have seen my crochet designs on Ravelry or PayHip , you would have noticed that I love designing hats, scarves , squares etc and also that I try to incorporate little heart motifs in them!

Naturally , then , I must make a collar for my furbabies that includes a heart! Let me present to you, without much further ado, my babies and the collar, Debownair pet collar, I designed for them!

I used the silk yarn I bought from my friend and indie dyer , MugdhaManasa who runs Sunrays Creations!
