Flowers and Fridgies!

“Happiness held is the seed , Happiness shared is the flower”- John Harrigan

What a lovely quote don’t you agree?

I am always enamored by the flowers I see! Growing up in South India , we always adorn flowers in our hair! The heady fragrance of the jasmine was enough to soothe me when I was anxious! Not any jasmine but a variety called jathi Malli (in Tamil) or spanish jasmine! The flower has a touch of pink and blooms only in the evenings! We also used to wear flowers like the kankambaram (again a Tamil name) or tropical flame or firecracker flower!

These days I prefer to enjoy my flowers on the plant and using them for prayers! The pink hibiscus is the one that blooms consistently at my home!

So naturally when the desire to design something quick and easy arises , I always think of flowers or floral motifs! I am very fond of these three flowers that my daughter designed for the magazine that we self published in 2021! We had to take a break from continuing the magazine due to personal reasons but we are happy to share some of the designs for free on the blog! You can also find a PDF file in our Ravelry and Payhip Store for a small fee!
