Pets are Family!

Our cats are our kids! Nay, strike that ! they are our grand kids!!!! We thought we were dog people until the cats decided to adopt us!! It all started one October morning some 9 years ago , when our community cat decided to have her litter in our garden! We were their servants! These cats however just visited us and didn’t truly enjoy being indoors.

We rescued one cat who was thrown away as a kitty in a dumpster and he is the chonker now known as Chebry aka Somnath Chatte. He is very meek and mild mannered but very vocal when he wants his food or play time or when he is just announcing to the whole world that he going to take a nap:)

The Second kitty had to be brought indoors as he was hit with a stick that broke his hip ! He was all but 2 months old!!! He was named Squeaky but soon changed to Cheesh aka Poppat Lal.

Our cats are ” foreign returned”!!!! They spent two years with us Stateside and were truly a blessing to have around during the dreadful covid times!

We have made a few custom products for other pets but never for our own :(. Hence when Jo of Joscraftyhook put out a request for Pet Appreciation blog hop , we jumped right in! These furbabies need pampering:)

An amazing group of crochet designers have brought together 24 patterns for this event. Each day starting from August 1st there is one pattern put out by each designer that will be free for 24 hours!

You can visit the main post hosted by Jo by clicking on the image below and get the coupon code for the pattern of the day!

Next , visit the appropriate designer’s blog post and click on the image that says ” Download” . This will take you to the designer’s website or ravelry or store from where you can then download the free PDF!

The above link will take you to our Ravelry store but if you have trouble accessing Ravelry , you can get the pet blanket pattern from our Payhip Store as well where the coupon code has been already applied.

So simple, right?? We sure do hope you enjoy making this pet blanket.
