Hello my craft buddies! We are already in May and that means it is time for the annual Pet Appreciation Blog Hop!
Jo of Joscraftyhook is hosting this event for the 4th year in a row and the participating designers couldn’t be happier in bringing you pet themed crochet patterns!
Presenting the participating crochet Designers for 2026! Each day starting frm May 1st 2026 until May 14th 2026, you will get to feast your eyes upon new and unique crochet patterns.
The featured design is either available for free or at a discounted price! So mark your calendars and don’t forget to check the host post for that day’s featured pattern!

If you are new to the blog hop event, let me share you a visual on how this event works!

That’s it ! It is super simple !
If you have been following me and my crafts on social media , you would have realised that I am happy to be called ” The Crazy Cat Lady” ! We rescued two cats (2 years apart ) and have since felt this quote to be absolutely true…
“No one loves you as unconditionally as your beloved pet” — Unknown.
While the following have also been experienced by all who visit our home!
- Little paws, big heart. …
- Snuggles and tail wags make everything better. …
- Cutie with a wagging booty. …
- Fluffy, fabulous, and full of love. …
- Cuteness overload, proceed with caution. …
- Tiny paws, endless cuddles.
It is but natural that I would design a granny square to celebrate my fluffy buddies who have wormed their way into my heart!
SInce 2020, I have found immense joy in creating designs using the solid granny square as a template and filling it with color. Do visit my Ravelry Store (or Payhip if you have trouble accessing Ravelry) to see my other granny square patterns!
Here is a peek into the patternb that is being featured tomorrow in the blog hop! This pattern is available for free for 24 hours only!!!!

The PDF for this pattern also has a chart to help you visualise the written words!
Do share your finished projects from this pattern! It always makes me super happy to see others’ take on my design 🙂
The Second pattern that I am putting up for this blog hop also follows a granny square style design but instead of a full square, I have designed it as a triangle and thus created a bandana!
Check this out!

I have used cotton yarn for this project and it has turned out quite large for a bandana that you can convert it as a neck wear should the weather turn cold!

Visit the Host blog post on May 10th 8 am EDT and get the coupon code!

You can then proceed to Ravelry and add this patter to your cart , enter the coupon code, make sure the price shows as free and then check out!

If you are not comfortable using Ravelry , you can also directly downoad from PayHip (the coupon code is already applied)

Hope you have enjoyed this blog hop and the patterns featured in this event. Don’t forget to check in next month for another exciting event!
Until then ….
