Hello Folks! Join me in welcoming August! 2024 seems to be rushing towards December at breakneck speed:)
July was pretty hectic between kids visiting and me travelling. It was also the month where I promoted 3 of my patterns through various blog hops. I wish to express my deepest thanks to all of you who supported these blog hops.
Amidst the visits, I did manage to test this awesome asymmetrical shawl for my friend!

A little bit about the Marzipan Scarf – a ViVaDesign !
Soft and sweet, like a sugary treat, delicate, light and lacy is what comes to mind when I see this beautiful shawl designed by my daughter(The Va part of ViVa). The dainty border really elevated this design!
A little side story for those who are not aware of the origin of this design.
This design was part of our Variegated! magazine that we ran for a year Dec 2020 until Jan 2022. It was done during Covid , when we were residing at opposite ends of the earth. The idea behind the magazine was to bring out 15 patterns a month and subscribers could choose a minimum of 5 , 10 or all 15 and they would pay exactly for the number of patterns they select. Each Subscriber got a personalized digital copy of the magazine with their choice of patterns.
We called in for a break in running this because life came a-calling 🙂 We are thinking of ways to improve this format and hope to be back with a better way of doing things seamlessly.
I was totally enamored with the pattern that I had to join the test team to make one for myself! I used shawl in a ball by Lion Brand and a 5.5 mm hook.
The testers have done an amazing job as always.

The first in the list is The Angel Kisses Scarf an advanced beginner friendly pattern that is crocheted in turned rows. It is a fun repeater pattern that makes a great scarf for spring or fall.
