Spring Splash

Hello Fellow Crafters! We have made it into the fourth month of the year! We have been lucky to be not involved directly in the unfortunate events happening elsewhere in the world, However we are all connected to each other and cannot not feel the pain and stress aroudn us.

I have been doing a little bit of introspection as I was torn between what I am doing and what is happening around the world. I have come to the conclusion that I don’t have control over what the leaders of the countries say and do but I do have control over what I can do. And that is keep doing what I love as long as I can possibly can. Hopefully the peace I get designing and crocheting can spread to others around me! “April is a reminder that something better is around the corner” and I am going to hold on this thought as I go through my days!

Stepping off my Soap Box, let’s get down to what I actually wanted to share with you all! Jo of JosCraftyhook is hosting the Spring Splash 50% off pattern sale event under the Crochet Designers Community banner.

A group of crochet designers get together to bring you fresh Spring themed crochet designs that will bring you much joy just as much as it did to us as we created them.

Here’s a sneak peak into the patterns that are part of this pattern sale event!

This event started on April 1st and goes on until April 14th 2026. The pattern I chose to design for you all is a coaster ! I love designing coasters as they finish up quick, easy to learn a new technique or stitch, apply a new edging etc.

While participating in a crochet along with a few of my friends at Crochet Folks India I came across this unique and new to me crochet edging called the wrapped or wound single crochet!
