Global Crochet Collaboration

April is upon us , bringing with it the heat and informing those of us here in the southern parts of India that hotter days are coming soon!

While the weather Gods might be bearing down on us with the heat, we crafty mortals keep our cool by crocheting in the cool confines of our homes:)

The next edition of the Global Crochet Collaboration is underway and I am a bit tardy in bringing the details to you all. Please forgive my tardiness, I am blaming it all on the heat p)

In case you have forgotten what this is all about , we are 9 crochet designers from all over the world who have come together to give 3 free crochet patterns a month.

We started this in Jan 2025 and the following 3 patterns in the respective designer’s blog/ website free. January’s designers were Audrey from Canoe Mtn Designs , Marsha from Marsha Yarndoodles and Regina from Regina P Designs

February saw the patterns from the hooks of Malena of StraightHooked , Rashmi of SaiAsmiDreamzinyarn and Lisa of GreenFoxfarmsDesigns!

March featured yours truly’s pattern along side of Gemma of Concretegems and Farrah of TheCrochetFix.

Now we are back to the second round and starting off in April is Audrey of CanoeMtnDesignsCrochet.

This is what Audrey has to say about the pattern : ” A nice bag pattern created in the round. Fun design with a quick and easy round repeat. Nice texture with some fun stitches. Easily adjusted to any size/length”.

Coming this week is a beautiful and colourful Skinny Scarf pattern by Marsha of MarshaYarnDoodles.

Marsha says ” The Boho Skinny Scarf is a chic & versatile accessory made from lightweight yarn. It features playful beaded fringe that enhances its bohemian aesthetic. It can be styled in various ways, such as worn around the neck, tied in the hair, or draped as a belt. Perfect for layering, this trendy piece effortlessly complements both casual and formal looks, solidifying its place as a staple in any boho-inspired wardrobe”

This scarf pairs very nicely with her recently published pattern , The Boho Slouch Hat. This beanie is currently on a $2 pattern sale event. You can read about it in my Spring Fashion blog post.

There you have it ! two beautiful patterns that will set us up nicely for the upcoming hotter months!

Last week saw Regina of Regina P designs publish her Flower Bookmark pattern as part of the Global Crochet Collaboration!

“Looking for a little something extra special to hold your place in your favorite book? Check out this super cute flower bookmark. Use up any WW4/Aran/10Ply yarn scraps you have on hand to create this super cute and helpful accent. The length can be adapted for any size book too. These are perfect for a little gift or last minute craft show stock in the spring!” – says Regina! I completely agree with her!

Look at my version of her pattern! I made two – one using regular dk weight yarn and 3.25 mm hook and another using thread and 2.00 mm hook. The third picture shows both of them together:)

Do check out Regina’s blog and give her pattern a whirl! You will not be disappointed!

Until next week, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!
