World Water Color Month

World Watercolor Month is celebrated around the globe during July. Art is always used as a medium of expressing our thoughts and emotions. Mediums like paintings, crafting, sculpting have been around for centuries to give voice to human emotions.

When Lisa Ferrel said she was going to host her first blog hop with the watercolor as the theme, I needed no second invite! I love water colors but am all thumbs when it comes to painting! However I can crochet till my fingers fall off my hands:)

After debating what to crochet for this blog hop , I settled on designing a set of coasters in two shapes , circle and square to mimic the water color effect!

If you have seen my Ravelry or Payhip store, you would have noticed that I have a soft corner for designing coasters! They are quick to design and even more quicker to write and get them tested! The whole family loves to use these coasters all around the house!

These are some of our favorites!

Sunshine Hex Coasters

Snowmelt Coasters

SolarFlare Coasters

Ofcourse you are more than welcome to browse our store and take your pick 🙂

That’s how much we love our coasters :p)

Just as I was settling down to design , Vardhman came out with a beautiful cotton yarn-Smiley, in the yummiest of colors , that I just had to use them in this design! No affiliation to the brand , just my honest opinion:)

Do hop on to Lisa’s blog(click on the image below) to know more about the blog hop and to get the amazing pattern for that day of the month!
